Quoth Criterion’s website: 

“In conceiving the look of Weekend, director Andrew Haigh was inspired by the lighting and framing in the work of the Irish photography team Quinnford + Scout—a.k.a. Colin Quinn and Oisín Share. He also ended up hiring the pair as on-set still photographers for the film. He asked them to not only capture the scenes we see on-screen but to create moments between the characters that don’t exist in the film. Here are some of those evocative and intimate images.”

WEEKEND is now available from The Criterion Collection on DVD & Blu-ray. my review of this releases will be up soon (spoiler alert: it’s awesome).
